Jessica Lynch is new to Merchants, but it is already evident that she embraces the same spirit of community service that so many Merchants employees exemplify.
Jessica was recently recognized by the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project as the first recipient of the Rising Champions for Justice Award. This award is, “…conferred upon a young lawyer who has demonstrated a commitment to pro bono work and to ensuring access to justice.” In the write up for the award, it is said that Jessica, “has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving our community’s most vulnerable people.” Among other examples, she provided legal assistance to a set of brothers who were separated from family due to war in the Republic of the Congo and found themselves resettled as refugees in Buffalo.
