Lisa Alvear, Kenmore Resident, Earns CPCU® Designation

Merchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Lisa Alvear, Senior Claims Adjuster, has been awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) by The Institutes, an educational organization that confers the CPCU designation on persons who complete eight rigorous courses and examinations and meet its ethics and experience requirements.

All CPCUs are required to maintain and to improve their professional knowledge, skills and competence through their commitment to The Institutes’ CPCU Code of Professional Conduct.

Ms. Alvear holds a Business Management Marketing Degree from Westchester Business Institute, Scarsdale, NY. She also holds the Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), and the Society of Claim Law Associates (SCLA) insurance designations.

Ms. Alvear and her family are residents of Kenmore.
