A new “Errors and Omissions” coverage for contractors’ policies is now being provided by Merchants Insurance Group.

The coverage is written in conjunction with an eligible Merchants Advantage Plus (MAP®) Contractors policy, Commercial Package policy (with General Liability), or a Monoline General Liability policy, for appropriate classes. This new offering is available on those select policies in Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Contractors Errors and Omissions is designed for property damage occurring to property commonly excluded under many commercial general liability policies, and includes the work of the named insured, products and impaired property.

Merchants has designed this coverage so that is it automatically included at minimum limits on all eligible MAP® Contractors’ new business policies, with the choice to opt-out. The coverage can be chosen at renewal on existing policies. For policies written as a Commercial Package, this optional coverage may be elected on a new policy or at the time of policy renewal.
